in Memoriam - REST EASY MARINES

 Bobby Taylor, AKA "Top"
He was a career Marine, a Drill Instructor and well regarded in our group 

 John Porvaznik 4/18/1922 - 7/20/2015
3rd Mar Div vet. Participated in invasion of Bougainville in Solomon Islands, Guam  in the Marianas Islands and Iwo Jima in the Volcano Islands. 
He was a well respected and liked member of  the AZ Semper Fi Vets. He also enjoyed the camaraderie of associating with Marines of all ages and different eras in the Marine Corps.  

 Mel Naseman 3rd Marine Division 
Wrote a book ( Eagle Eye ) about his experiences in the Pacific.

 Master Gunnery Sergeant Robert Biers joined the United States Marine Corps in 1955. MGySgt Biers served his first tour in Vietnam in 1965. He was then assigned to Drill Instructors School and was a DI at MCRD in San Diego. He served a second tour in Vietnam and was exposed to Agent Orange. In 1976, he achieved the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant, E-9, and was also the first Marine to attend the U

Jim Head -  May 1943 - August 1946    Parris Island boot camp. Went to Bakers School in Camp Lejeune and made corporal on graduation..
